At a glance:
Arguably the greatest Pinot Noir (if not red wine) in the world, the wine of the grand cru Romanée-Conti is certainly its most expensive. Powerful, voluptuous and very long-lived, the tiny productions have made the bottles collectors' pieces on release. The vineyard lies within the Vosne-Romanée district, which also contains the almost equally superlative grand crus of: La Romaneé, La Tâche, Richebourg, Romaneé-St-Vivant, and La Grand Rue.
